Deja Vu or Maybe New ~ I think we all can relate to "Seasons of My Life". It might bring back a memory or two for you. ~ "Glad You're There" might bring a smile. The thought of a sweet friend is always good to recall. ~ There's very special place I love to think of. "Evermore" is that place. Will you come walk with me a while? Enjoy the Thomas Kinkade painting and rest a bit. ~

Note from Karen ~ A belated "Happy Thanksgiving" to my Canadian readers. I also want to wish those of you who celebrate it, a Happy Halloween. I have very good memories of carving pumpkins and dressing up in costume. The streets were safer then, and it was magical to collect all the sweet treats the neighbors gave us. Please have a safe and sane holiday. ~ I thank you for being a part of Lasting Light Poetry and appreciate your kindness and caring. Please take a moment to visit the Message Board and see what your neighbors are sharing. I think you will find something of value there. Be good to yourself. Shine on...Karen

Inspiration From The Board ~ Here is a sampling of some beautiful Autumn Quotes Joni shared with us all on the Message Board. Thank you, Joni!

Listen! the wind is rising,
and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings,
now for October eves!
- Humbert Wolfe

Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it,
and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth
seeking the successive autumns.
- George Eliot

In the garden, Autumn is, indeed the crowning glory of the year,
bringing us the fruition of months of thought and care and toil.
And at no season, safe perhaps in Daffodil time,
do we get such superb colour effects as from August to November.
- Rose G. Kingsley, The Autumn Garden, 1905

I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the
landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter.
Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.
- Andrew Wyeth

Leaving you with a smile...........
All I Need to Know About Life I Learned From Eating Chocolate ~

Some people are semi sweet, others are just plain nutty

The best things in life are not fat free

You never know a person until you've shared a box of chocolates with them

An ounce of truffles is worth a pound of anything

Flowers and champagne may set the stage but it's chocolate that steals the show

Don't cry over spilled milk, unless it's chocolate milk

Blind dates are like chocolate - they're usually chunky and they quickly disappear

Milk chocolate...for all it's worth

True love will remain long after the chocolates have gone...provided there's another box

When all else fails, fudge it!

Money can't buy you love - but it can buy you chocolate - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year

~~~~~~~~~~~~~ See you next time! Don't forget to share a smile.
