The Bridge

Across a hundred sunsets
Beyond your wildest dreams
A bridge awaits your footsteps
To places you've not seen

stars

You've sensed it in the midnight
In starlight's silvery glow
The soft touch of a memory
From very long ago

stars

A distant song caresses
A heart so full of sighs
The weight of all your sorrow
Is lifted for a while

stars

The crickets keep the rhythm
A gentle thought remains
Your innocence remembers
A time before the pain

stars

Keep faith and you will see it
This place at journey's end
A paradise He's made for you
You'll cross that bridge with Him

Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere,
and sometimes in the middle of nowhere you find yourself.

We shall find peace. We shall hear angels.
We shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.
