images4/something To Share

It was a day like any other
Nothing special going on
I stared out of the window
Summer's fading, almost gone

I see the trees are changing
Green leaves turning into gold
Guess the days will just get shorter
And the nights will get so cold

bow

The holidays will soon be coming
I'm never ready when they do
They mean the year is nearly ended
We'll be starting out brand new

I know it seems that things are changing
One look in the mirror tells me so
I'm not so young as I remembered
Yet I'm really not that old

bow

I thank the Lord above for giving me
A heart that really cares
And dear friends who are like angels
Oh so constant, always there

Life is filled with many highs and lows
It can be just so unfair
Yet it's really worth the journey
If you have something to share

bow

Bake a cake or write a sonnet
Paint a picture of the sky
Send a letter to your bestfriend
Plan a trip, it's worth a try

Reach high and let the past be gone
You need to start out once again
Keep on sharing and you'll soon find out
It's the givers who always win

Happiness is not so much in having as sharing.
We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.
