You alone are my refuge
When the world turns away
You send guiding angels
To comfort my days

Your creation attests to
The divine plan you've made
You send light and love
When I stumble and fade

The hummingbird shows me
It can fly but not stand
And I know every flower
You created by hand

The wind and the rain
May beat at my door
And sorrow may bring me
A heart broke and sore

Oh God, you alone know
The intent of my heart
And your love binds my wounds
When I'm falling apart

Forgive me when I falter
Or can't bare the news
I will run to your arms
For you are my refuge

At the heart of the cyclone tearing the sky
And flinging the clouds and the towers by,
Is a place of central calm;
So here in the roar of mortal things,
I have a place where my spirit sings,
In the hollow of God's palm.
