A new morning beckons|
As the fog slips away
All nature is waking
Night melts into day
Sweet fragrance of grasses
Touched gently with dew
Bring memories and heartstopping
Dreams we once knew
How many brave souls
Wandered over these plains?
To find something better..
Their footsteps remain
Look close at the beauty
You see it, I know
And remember the prairies
Keep them safe, keep them whole
