Watching Over Me

Sounds of heaven fill this room
Bells and angels lift the gloom
Ringing hope so pure and true
My hope and courage to renew

This journey takes me to the depths
And bends me into sad distress
Oh be my guide, when I am weak
Give me the shelter that I seek

The storm clouds gather fiercely dark
I pray this gloom will soon depart
When my faith falters, keep me strong
And close to you where I belong

I thank you for my every breath
And for loving me when I fail the test
You hold the future in your hands
And lift me up when I cannot stand

Bless those who hunger for your love
Send guardian angels from above
No matter what my fate may be
I know you're watching over me

The ideals which have lighted my way, and time after time
have given me new courage to face life cheerfully,
have been Kindness, Beauty, and Truth.
