The Joy You Bring

I get so busy, I forget to say
How often I thought of you today
You've been with me through many trials
And never failed to make me smile

No matter how rough the road may be
I know I have your company
True friends don't leave when trouble comes
They send their strength to help you on

I wonder if you really know,
I'd be lost without the love you show?
And I'll give back the best I can
When you need someone to understand

When I count blessings, you're on the top
May our friendship grow and never stop
When you are down, no song to sing
I'll return to you, the joy you bring

But oh, if grief thy steps attend,
If want , if sickness be thy lot
And thou require a soothing friend
Forget me not! Forget me not!
